The artist has handed over the entirety of his £25k award cash to the trust for venues, which operates to save the UK's small concert spaces.
He was presented with the award on 16 October as his latest record his work was chosen as the outstanding release of the previous year.
Fender has decided to give the cash to the Music Venues Trust, in recognition of the vital role grassroots venues played in his beginning days.
"As an artist wouldn't be doing this success if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the region, and beyond, when I was starting out," said Fender. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling."
Since the start of 2023, over 150 of these venues have shut down – about 16 percent of the entire UK sector.
Over the past year, top acts such as Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its attempts to keep the scene afloat, by including a small levy to their ticket prices, which supports smaller concert halls.
Sam Fender also took part, collecting more than £100,000 on his recent tour to assist thirty-eight small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The donation helped locations that were confronting imminent closure due to difficulties caused by floods, fire incidents and family tragedies, as well as licensing issues, conflicts and sound issues.
Some locations were granted funding support in modernizing infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted performers and audiences.
"The concept that money from shows in large arenas helps the independent spots, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just sensible," Sam Fender has said.
The musician is not the first artist to donate his honor winnings to worthy causes.
In Pulp earned the prize in the mid-90s for their record their work, frontman Cocker declared that the band would donate their prize money to the organization War Child.
During 2002, artist she divided her bounty among several organizations, such as the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.
"And I contributed a grand to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I practiced gymnastics when I was growing up and they required updated gear," she explained to outlets.
Previously, they contributed their funds to the community center that supported their act, in addition to other local music groups.
Additionally the 1994 recipients the group gave their winnings to a charity for MS after a acquaintance was identified with the disease.
"The victory was sufficient," stated singer Heather Small. "The cash was the cherry on top but we didn't need the extra, because we had the cake. So our success impacted somebody else's life."
Recently, the trust revealed it had saved several small stages in south-east England, by bringing them into community ownership.
The Joiners in the city and The Croft in the city were purchased under the Own Our Venues scheme, which is backed by Arts Council England and supporters who buy "ownership units" in the properties.
